Standard Mattress Sizes

Thought I would follow-up on yesterday's post about quilt sizes. This is a listing of standard mattress sizes. Your quilt sizes can vary from those listed yesterday, depending on the amount of "drop" (the amount you want hanging over the sides and bottom of the mattress) you add. Personally, I like at least a 12" drop on the sides and bottom.

Mattress Sizes

Crib Mattress Size: 28" x 52"

Twin Mattress Size (Single): 39" x 75"

Full Mattress Size (Double): 54" x 75"

Long Twin Mattress Size: 36" x 80"
Note: Most beds in college dorms have long twin mattresses

Queen Mattress Size: 60" x 80"

King Mattress: 76" x 80"

California King Mattress Size: 72" x 84"
