YIPPPEEEEE!

We are so excited here at Sew What Quilt Shop. We have been working on a project with two other shops and now it's happened!!!

Join us February 5 and 6, 2011 for the very first ever Highway 56 Small Shop Road Trip. In conjunction with Stitches Quilt Shop in McPherson, Kansas and Quilts and Quiltracks in Hillsboro, Kansas, we are offering you a chance to take a mini road trip (somewhere in the neighborhood of 35 - 40 miles separate the McPherson and Marion shops, with Hillsboro in the middle). We are relatively small shops that offer a lot to our customers, and great service! All three shops are on Main Street in their respective towns, and just off Highway 56, so we are easy to find.

The three shops have each designed a special project and will have the kits available for sale during the road trip weekend. If you combine blocks from all three shops, you will have a 4th project free.

So let the guys watch sports on TV, grab some friends and take a ROAD TRIP!

New Year, New Books, a Sale and a Block of the Month

Happy New Year!! Ok, so I am a few days late with my wishes for the new year, but you know I meant to do it earlier. I hope 2011will be a good year for all of our quilting friends. It promises to be a good year for Sew What! We have lots of new fabrics ordered (and I'm sure it won't be the last we order for this year). We have Moda, Windham, and Benartex fabrics that are scheduled to arrive this month.

Our Block of the Month that started yesterday, "Paris In The Fall" by Sherri K. Falls, is being done in Moda's "Maison De Garance" line by French General. This promises to be a beautiful quilt and one that any quilter would love to have in their collection.

We, also, have 2 new books that have just arrived.

Runners, Etc. is chock full of table runners, wall hangings and minis. And Circle of Nine has quilts using different blocks, but each set in the same "Circle of Nine" pattern. These quilts look extremely different, but all use the same layout.

I want to remind you that our Saturday Sampler is starting Saturday, January 15th at 9:00 a.m. This will be a great way to get the blocks for a quilt. Hope to see you then.
